Rock is wrong if he thinks Hayward has to score 30 for the Jazz to win. Love
Hayward, but moving the ball on offense is key regardless of who gets the
points. The Jazz have a lot of good shooters. Move the ball to the open man!
Sure Hawyard has had a few 30 point games. But when it counts he
disappears. Are we all forgetting last season's failed playoff push?He does not deserve the title of "All Star".In any event, he is
GONE next year.He will go to a bigger market to make his mandatory $30M a
year. The jazz would befoolish to take on his next contract.
Gordon may never have said he wanted to be a superstar but he wants to be paid
Well written column, Rock -- and timely. Tonight is the night we see if Gordon
has the will and creativity to solve Luc's defense. I agree -- if he
doesn't do it tonight, kiss the second round good-bye.
Rock is half right...Gordon never said he wanted to be a superstar, but hoped to
make the all-star team consistently. It's amazing how the guy has his best
year, is still improving, and some are not satisfied. There are only a few
superstars in the whole league, right? He will have to play better, but
it's tough when you are hounded like he was in game 2. The Jazz need to
slow down Chris Paul's penetration somehow, and Favors/Withey/Diaw have to
do better in the paint keeping out Jordan and Griffin. Should be fun. Go Jazz!
Rock is right: time for Gordon to play up to (big free agent contract)
expectations!Last game he played like a journeyman.
