If there is one thing BYU can learn from St Mary’s and Gonzaga, it is good
defense and team play can make up for a lack of quickness and athleticism. Maybe
that is starting to sink in for BYU. We’ll see when they meet stiffer
competition.I actually saw Haws square up between his man and the basket
the other day, instead of trailing him from behind.
@But seriously folks!Who said anything about Utah? We have not
played anybody yet, and you know it.
But seriously folks!:"the utsies...are imploding right
now..."What a frantic and emotional thing to say! Utah won 6 of
our last 8 games. That's "imploding"??? And Butler is one of those teams receiving votes. That's
"average at best"???
Love the kittens,I guess BYU won't to worry about the skill part of
the opposing team or coach until they hit the WCC schedule. BYU has the speed
to keep up with the utsies who are imploding right now and cannot take care of
the ball. Their big men are just plain bad. I watched the Butler game and
Butler is an average team at best and took it to the utes with ease. No way
Collette will make the NBA with the way he is playing this year.
@EpointI am hoping that Worthington doesn't play like Mika.
Mika was a great (though, apparently not that great) individual player who never
met a shot he didn't like. This is a better team without him.
@Laxman "It will be interesting to see how they playing against
teams that are fast and have some height!"And some skill and a
I've been a hopeful fan that Worthington would play like Mika, be a good
replacement for him inside, but since he appeared on the BYU Sports tv show, he
hasn't done much towards that, wondering about that supposed carma.... I
want to say: come on Shawn, show your Worth and fight for those offensive and
defensive rebounds. Nixon is showing you up in effectiveness and
competitiveness. Go Cougars!
It will be interesting to see how they playing against teams that are fast and
have some height!
Can we please keep Heath Schroyer around forever?
