Also, it's very hypocritical to claim that criticism of a religion and making fun of the religion is not hateful towards the target religion in question while also claiming in the same breath that preaching against sexual sins is hateful towards people who choose to follow these practices. Why the double standard?

Like I've said before, this is precisely why I'll never trust a secularist to run our country. It would be one thing if they simply disagreed with religion in general and ended it from there. It's another thing all together to try to eliminate it from our nation for good.

"Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the heck is going on."?

Please how is this hateful? He said lets figure out the problem not that they could never come. Truth be told you must really hate America and want America to suffer the same problems European countries are having with Muslim immigrants. Not enough crimes, rapes and other things in your community.

" This isn't just mocking someones faith, this is hate."

You weren't one of the people agreeing with Trump when he read the statement that said "Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the heck is going on."?

“Joy Behar claims that Pence, who believes in Jesus Christ, has a "mental illness".

Absolutely 100% incorrect! Behar’s comment was regarding “hearing Jesus”. She made no comment regarding his belief in Christ, but you already knew this information.

“And yet posters on this and other DesNews stories claim that there is no persecution whatsoever towards Christians”. Do you read the article prior to posting?

Yet the alt-right question the crying wolf regarding “persecution” of Christians. Please cite examples how you have been “persecuted” as a Christian.

    “Does. Not. Compute”.

Couldn’t state it better myself! Thank you.

“Apparently Liberal on Planet Zion receives revelation because he knows how each of us voted. What other spiritual truths do you have to teach us”?

Thought Utah was proud of Trump? Believe you have posted countless times defending the utter embarrassment that currently occupies the WH. Correct? Believe I have stated much more than what you decided to cherry pick, but very well. Plenty to teach since you asked.
    #1 Stop the enabling!
#2 Stop believing that somehow you are special due to the fact you practice Christianity.
#3 Stop believing you are entitled to discriminate against others due to your Christian faith.
#4 Realize what your thoughts would be if a Muslim politician stated they heard Allah speaking to them directly.
#5 Turn off Faux News. Tune the radio to FM frequency and away from Breitbart, Infowars, Ingraham Limbaugh and other propaganda.
#6 Make factual, intelligent dialogue part of the discussion.

Do you desire hearing more? Remember. As stated previously I was raised Catholic and spent my younger years studying the Bible in Catholic school. Thank you.

Wasn't this editorial *just* complaining about judging folks for (believing they are) receiving personal communications from God?

So if you can't accept that Liberal On Planet Zion receives such communications, you probably understand why Behar is skeptical that Pence does.

She would be 100% correct! Understand it’s difficult for Christians to understand and grasp this concept but you are no more special than any other religious sect! Especially when most posters commenting on this article voted for Trump! Talk about hypocrisy. How do you expect others to take you serious? No one is stating do not practice your religion rather stop believing you are somehow special because of this fact! Furthermore. Prior to the usual suspects losing their minds, I was raised Catholic. If ANY Christian church doesn’t believe in equality for all, how is this behavior Christian? From what I’ve read in the New Testament Jesus accepted all. Period! Thank you

I'm not sure that an article about an opinion show that takes seriously the utterings of a character in a reality TV show is the best way to promote a topic as sacred and full of gravitas.

the tangible hostility toward Christianity today in America by the left is frightening. This isn't just mocking someones faith, this is hate. Big difference.

My favorite quote about this is from Brigham Young:

“How difficult it is to teach the natural man,” Brigham Young declared, “who comprehends nothing more than that which he sees with the natural eye! … Talk to him about angels, heavens, God, immortality, and eternal lives, and it is like sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal to his ears; it has no music to him; there is nothing in it that charms his senses, soothes his feelings, attracts his attention, or engages his affections, in the least; to him it is all vanity.

Many people are blind to God and his workings. Joy Behar is not alone. She is certainly entitled to her opinion.

yes He knows her and loves all but blessings are contingent upon our obedience to His gospel principles. Free agency allows us to receive light from The Holy Ghost or reject God and darken our minds and hearts instead. It's our choice. The Lord is always reaching out but we have to reach back to find him.

Joy Behar is part of the reason why Trump won the election.

Liberal elite talking heads who have no connection to middle America. Joy is a blowhard who has neither created a job or apprehended a criminal or made a difference in anybody's life but her own.

the level of complete ignorance of these shallow women of "The View" is staggering. I think a 10 year old understands what it means to have the Savior speak to you. No a voice usually doesn't come over a loud speaker but indeed the "still small voice" does speak to your heart and mind. General George Washington addressed his troops and asked for "divine providence" to guide his way. I doubt his troops made light of General Washington's words and understood his heart felt plea for divine guidance. Vice President Pence is saying the exact same thing. To the vulgar and shallow minded a chance to attack Christianity is just too hard to pass up sadly.

“I think what’s interesting is that she said Jesus tells Mike Pence things to say,” host Sunny Hostin said in the broadcast.

As LDS I was taught that we are entitled to personal revelation. If Mike Pence receives instructions on what to say... shouldn't that be considered as revelation or inspiration for other people. If that is the case why is not Mr. Trump the one receiving the instructions.

Also, I thought revelation for the world was one of the reasons for the reestablishment of the church on Earth.

    Curious!!!

And the assault on religion is alive and well among liberals. Joy Behar will be out of a job in 6 months.

I don't think it's a mental illness for someone to claim they hear voices. When it becomes disturbing, however, is when someone who makes such a claim is given such deference and respect for having done so. After all, I, too can make such claims. True or not. With benign or evil intent. If you claim the voices you are hearing are coming from the right source, no one will question you.

I am sorry that Ms. Behar has not had the impressions of divine guidance and inspiration wherein she knows the Lord has spoken to her. Perhaps she has but has not recognized them.

I'm sorry she does not believe in Christ but I know he believes in her, loves her and blesses her.
