Detmer happy with the progress BYU's offense has made in camp

    This offensive group has talent but IMO they have a lot to prove, I hope it doesn't take too much time to become what we expect. Winning some of these tough games could depend on how this offense develops.

    In my opinion I take what coaches say with a grain of salt. NO coach will every say anything negative about there team. They don't want players to feel down or give there up coming schedule any thing to give them confidence.

    Talon served a mission to McAllen Texas (2 years), had a redshirt year, played sparingly in 2016 and here we are in 2017.

    I've wondered for some time why Talon Shumway didn't play in the last two seasons. My memory is he graduated from high school in 2013.

    There are going to be comments about this article and Detmer's take on where his offense is. Just remember he is the coach, with a Heisman trophy, NFL experience, and he has been to every practice and knows his players. Everyone else, has an agenda, no trophy, no experience, has missed most if not all practices, and wouldn't know most of the players if they passed them in the grocery store. Who are you going to listen to? Don't argue with the uninformed. It's pointless.
